USTA winter season about to begin
Now that my ALTA
fall season is over, it’s time for the “winter” USTA season to begin. Our first
match is this Saturday…I’m scheduled to play singles. Yikes! I need to go
practice my serve this week. I haven’t even picked up my racquet in about 9
days.
I went to check on
the schedule yesterday and found something interesting. USTA’s site allows you
to see who is on the various teams you are scheduled to play. I checked each of
the teams out, just to see if there was anybody I know on any of the teams we
will be playing. There’s nobody I know, but there is somebody I follow online
via blogs and Twitter. My team will be playing the team that Stephanie Lee is
on. Stephanie Lee is married to Mark Lee, who is the guitarist of one of my
favorite bands, Third Day. Insert tune of “It’s a Small World” here
